In life, we often find ourselves bound by invisible knots: control, comparison, expectations, approval, fear, and even our understanding of death. Like Lazarus in Scripture, we can experience new life in Christ and still be wrapped in grave clothes. Untangling is the process of letting God remove those bindings so we can walk in true freedom.

 

But here’s the tension: Is untangling just about becoming happier, freer, or more fulfilled?

 

If that’s the goal, we’ve missed something deeper.

 

Untangling is not just self-improvement; it’s preparation.

 

It’s about becoming the kind of people who are ready to fully experience life with God—now and forever.

 

Freedom in Christ isn’t the destination.
God Himself is!

 

In Revelation 21:1–5, we’re given a breathtaking picture of what’s ahead:

* A new heaven and a new earth
* God dwelling with His people
* No more death, mourning, crying, or pain
* All things made new

 

This is not a metaphorical idea; it’s a real, physical, restored creation.

 

And one detail changes everything: Heaven comes down to earth. God doesn’t abandon creation; He redeems it. He doesn’t distance Himself from humanity; He dwells with us.

 

At the center of this promise is something deeply personal: God wants to be with you. You. Personally. Forever.

 

This truth is easy to overlook because it’s so familiar, but it’s staggering when you stop and consider it.

 

The Creator of the universe desires eternal relationship with you.

 

A World Without Pain, Loss, or Death

Imagine a reality where:

* Death is completely gone
* Grief no longer exists
* Tears are wiped away forever
* Pain and suffering are erased

 

This isn’t wishful thinking; rather, it’s the promise of resurrection. Because Christ rose, we will rise. And when we rise, we will dwell with God in a fully restored world.

 

You might wonder: How does this future hope help me today?

Here’s why it matters: When you know the end of the story, you can endure the journey. Every struggle you face: control, comparison, fear, approval, loses its grip when you’re anchored in eternal hope. It’s like watching a story where you already know the ending. The hard moments don’t disappear, but they no longer define your reality.

 

As you reflect on this truth, here are three simple ways to respond:

1. Thank God That He Wants to Be With You! Say it out loud. Let it become real.

God’s desire for you is not distant; it’s deeply personal and eternal.

2. Reflect on What God Has Already Freed You From. Look back on your journey:

* Where have you let go of control?
* Where have you stopped comparing?
* Where have you found freedom?

This is evidence of God preparing you for what’s ahead.

You are not just changed. You are being made new!

Right now, you are living into the person God is preparing for eternity.

 

Untangling is about living in light of eternity. It’s about becoming people who are ready for a world where:

* Death is gone
* Pain is finished
* Tears are erased
* All things are made new

 

This is the end of the story, and it’s incredible: You will dwell with God forever. You will be fully restored. You will experience a world made completely new. And that future isn’t just something to wait for, it’s something that shapes how you live today.

Live anchored in hope.

Because the best is not behind you—it’s ahead of you.
